Wouldn’t it be nice to walk into your kitchen on a busy hectic day and smell garlic, peppercorn and other flavors filling your kitchen and tempting your taste-buds without you having to spend an hour in the kitchen? Yes, it REALLY can happen! You just need this simple meal hack and you’re good to go!

Ahhh, yes! Smithfield pork loins! My family has been fans of this brand for years. We love the different flavors they offer that perfectly season the meat — saving me extra time in the kitchen!

I love marinated meat, don’t you? One of my fave quick meals consists of Italian marinated chicken, topped with bacon and cheese — YUM! See, that’s the secret to good cooking — a good, long marinade. But, sometimes in the hustle and bustle of motherhood I get more caught up in home-schooling, cleaning or playing with my kids that I completely forget to marinade my meat! Sigh.

That’s where this mom hack comes in. Smithfield pork loins have already been slowly marinaded with the perfect blend of spices. I am never disappointed in the flavors! We have tried almost all of them, minus mushroom flavors. Sorry, my husband is COMPLETELY against eating fungus! Just ask him!

So, here’s the super-simple mom hack: Grab a Smithfield Garlic and Peppercorn marinated pork loin (you can grab yours at Walmart — while supplies last.) and throw it in your crock-pot with all the yummy flavors and spices that are included. Don’t you just love peppercorn? Turn your crock-pot on high and walk away for six hours and forget about that juicy, perfectly marinated pork loin that’s loaded with fresh peppercorn…yum!

For my easy dinner hack, I try to add some colorful sides. So around 4:30ish, I head to the kitchen and chop up two carrots and boil them. Once carrots are tender, I remove them from pot and set aside, while reserving the boiled water. In that same pot with the excess water, I toss in about 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 tsp of butter. I stir that yummy mixture and cook it for about one minute. Then I ever-so-slowly, drizzle that homemade, super-easy glaze over the carrots — for thicker glaze, add additional sugar. I then pop open a can of my fave green beans and cook those with salt, olive oil, chicken bouillon and a dash of lemon. And of course, I serve iced, sweet tea to my Southern family for the perfect, super-easy meal. Pretty nice mom hack, huh?
