Easy Two Ingredient Hot Chocolate

Sometimes our family has those days when we need a pick-me-up. You know something extra to get us through the day. One of my “instant happiness” treats I make for my family is super-easy, two ingredient hot cocoa. I could kick myself for not making these years ago! I never, ever, ever want to drink the powdered stuff again. Homemade hot cocoa is full of rich flavor, and it only has two ingredients!

Moms, are you tired at the end of the day? I know I am. Sometimes I just want to collapse at 8:30 or 9 p.m. when I know my kiddos are in bed. I just want to grab a hot shower, curl up with a good book and drink something warm and amazing. This recipe hits the spot — every single time.

Besides tasting completely amazing and being a cinch to make, homemade hot cocoa has another perk — you can make it any flavor you want! I love to add some caramel to mine and then drizzle it on top of some whipped cream. Of course, I have to drink this in moderation or I will get pretty fluffy! :)

Just keep your favorite flavored syrups stocked and you can make any fancy combinations that exist under the moon. So, if you have just a few minutes, you can whip up you and your family some cups of hot cocoa. Just be warned, once you make your own, there is no going back to the powdered stuff that has WAY too many ingredients!

Enjoy the recipe and don’t forget to let me know what your fave version is of hot cocoa — original, mint, caramel or raspberry? If you love this recipe, don’t keep it a secret, share with your family and friends on Facebook!
