Chocolate chip cookies are a classic fave cookie for many families. Add some peanut butter to the mix and you have one amazing classic cookie wiht a fun, new twist!
Once or twice a year we try to camp out with the kids. It is always a special time together. This year we made cookies to eat during our camp out. My daughter and I really enjoyed making these cookies. The batter is so easy to handle because it is a smooth, non-sticky batter. She didn’t have any trouble getting the dough on the cookie sheet. All the kids enjoyed the special treat. To make these melt-in-your-mouth cookies here’s what you need:
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 cup unbleached all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350. Spread parchment paper on a cookie sheet; set aside.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter and peanut butter. Beat with mixer on medium till light and fluffy. Gradually add the sugars, beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined; set aside.
3. In separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Add the flour mixture and chocolate chips to the batter, stir until dough is well blended.
4. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls unto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 9-12 minutes.
Best served warm with a glass of milk.
