Easy Maple Bacon Truffles
Bacon and chocolate fans unite in these savory and sweet, easy maple bacon truffles! They’re gorgeous, silky smooth and full of flavors that sing in perfect harmony! Psst! They’re no-bake too!
  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the powdered sugar, milk, frosting and maple syrup. Stir until blended.
  3. Roll the truffle filling into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet.
  4. Cover and freeze for 20 minutes while preparing the chocolate coating.
  5. In a double broiler or small saucepan, melt shortening on low heat and gradually stir in chocolate chips. Cook until chips are completely melted.
  6. Pour melted chocolate into a small mixing bowl.
  7. Dip a truffle ball into the chocolate with the help of an inserted toothpick. Allow any excess chocolate to run off.
  8. Gently place the chocolate coated truffle back onto the cookie sheet and remove the toothpick.
  9. mmediately sprinkle 1 teaspoon of crumbled bacon on top of the truffle before the chocolate hardens. Repeat with the remaining truffles.
  10. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
