These banana nut bread milkshakes taste just like a slice of homemade banana bread in a glass. Made with ripe bananas, chopped walnuts, milk, and a hint of maple, this easy milkshake recipe is thick, creamy, and comes together in the blender in just minutes for a cool, sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 6 ripe bananas, peeled
  • 50 cubes of ice
  • 4 cup milk
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • dash salt
  • 1 tsp maple extract

Instructions

  1. In large blender, place bananas, sugar, walnuts, salt, extract and sugar.
  2. Then, place the ice on top.
  3. Next, pour the cups of milk over the top and blend for 30 seconds.
  4. Turn off machine, and stir with fork to move ice around.
  5. Now, blend again until smooth.
  6. If the ice is still not breaking apart, try adding a little bit more milk to get things moving around.
  7. If you prefer a smoothie taste, add a ½ cup yogurt to the mix!
  8. Serve chilled and garnish with chopped walnuts, sliced bananas and whipped cream.
