For Steaks

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp rolled oats
  • 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

For Onion Rings

  • 2 large yellow onions, peeled and sliced very thin
  • 1½ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

For Steaks

  1. In large bowl, combine ground beef, rolled oats, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
  2. Mix well with hand and form into ½ inch oblong steaks.
  3. Lightly oil griddle or skillet and brown steaks on both sides until inside is no longer pink.
  4. Pour leftover drippings from pan over steaks before serving.

For Onion Rings

  1. First, mix flour with seasoning salt and water.
  2. Add more water if needed.
  3. The batter should be similar to pancake batter.
  4. Then, dip each thin onion ring into the batter and fry on med-high heat in a skillet.
  5. Fry until golden brown on both sides and drain.
  6. Top each steak with a hearty serving of onion rings. Enjoy!
