Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 10.7 oz can condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 10 oz package frozen peas
  • 2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 lb tater tots
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a cast-iron skillet, add ground beef and seasonings, brown the ground beef.
  3. Remove from heat, drain grease, and remove beef from skillet.
  4. Place a layer of tater tots along the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Place in oven for 10 minutes or until tots have thawed.
  6. Squish the tots, until they cover the entire bottom of the pan.
  7. Put beef back in the skillet.
  8. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soup and milk, add the peas and half of the cheese.
  9. Pour over the beef.
  10. Top with remaining tater tots.
  11. Top with the rest of the cheese and bake for 40-45 minutes.
