Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix, (Bake according to directions, except add an extra egg and substitute melted butter for oil
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • green melting chocolate
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 1 can strawberry frosting
  • wax paper

Instructions

  1. Bake your cake according to package directions, expect add an extra egg and replace the oil with an equal amount of melted butter.
  2. Let cake completely cool.
  3. Crumble cool cake into super-tiny pieces.
  4. Stir frosting into crumbled cake. Stir until completely mixed.
  5. Fold in one cup of chocolate chips.
  6. Roll cake mixture into small, one inch balls and freeze for one hour.
  7. Once you remove the cake balls form the freezer melt the chocolate by placing the green melts and oil in the microwave for 15 seconds. Stir until smooth. Repeat until all the melts are completely melted.
  8. Once chocolate is completely smooth and melted, dip each cake ball into the chocolate to evenly coat using a toothpick.
  9. Place dipped cake balls into the refrigerator to harden.
  10. Once cake balls are hardened, you can serve them. Enjoy!
