- ½ cup butter
- 4 clove garlic, smashed and sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper, crushed
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded – plus more for serving
- Parsley, optional for serving
Instructions
- Place a medium-sauced saucepan over medium heat and add butter.
- Once the butter is hot, add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the heavy cream, salt, pepper and seasoning, and continue to cook.
- Continue to cook the cream for 2 minutes, whisking constantly, then reduce heat to low.
- Add the shredded Parmesan cheese and whisk until completely melted.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Serve immediately with additional Parmesan and parsley, if desired.
