Me want fish.
Fish is one of my favorite food groups. What? You didn’t know it was a food group? OK, well maybe it’s not technically a food group, but it’s still pretty yummy!
And if you’ve never been a fish fan, then this may be a monumental moment in your life. This Five Spice Baked Fish recipe may very well make you a fish-eating machine!
One part of a heart-healthy diet, for moms and kiddos, is to make sure to incorporate fish into your meals several times a week.
We do that mostly with tuna — it’s cheap and convenient. But salmon and baked whitefish is definitely at the top of my fave fish list list — oh, and did I say Red Snapper? Yep, this five spice blend would work well on that magnificent fish too!
This recipe is also simple and you probably have all the ingredients in your pantry. Don’t you hate running out to the store just to get two ingredients for one recipe? Me too.
That is why I try to keep the majority of the recipes on this site filled with simple ingredients. Sure, I will throw in a fancy recipe once in a while, but that is just to spice things up a bit!
Normal day-to-day living for busy moms means using what you have in your pantry and fridge. This recipe also takes little prep and makes little mess. If you’re like me, just those two features sold you!
Don’t forget to check out our other quick meals for busy moms. If you’re like most of us, you have to cook two or three meals per day.
Give yourself a break without eating out by making simple, tasty and quick meals. That’s my secret to keeping a sane and clean home!
Throw this together with a simple, fresh green salad and some store-bought bread sticks and you have a fish dinner fit for a king!
Don’t tongue-lash me for saying store-bought bread. A busy mom has to do what a busy mom has to do — right? I feel no shame in purchasing store-bought bread to complete this home-made meal. I love home-made bread, but some weeks are super tight on time. It’s during those times that I cut corners.
Ready to dig into some amazing, baked fish? Recipe follows!
