That way when someone asks me for the recipes, my kids always chime in and say, : “It’s on her blog!”
Salmon Patties are an Easy Beginner Recipe
Don’t think salmon patties are only for seasoned cooks!
You can try this recipe tonight and serve it in minutes without a fuss!
I do have a few simple tips to share with you so you have a better chance at “beginner’s luck”!
The Perfect Salmon Patty Has the Following Characteristics:
Perfect Bread bread to salmon ratio.
Too many people overdue the flour, breadcrumbs or even cracker crumbs.
We’ve used all of the above in various combinations of our perfect salmon patty recipe.
We try to slowly add in the breading so we can eyeball it and make sure the mixture isn’t getting too dry.
Don’t Deep Fry the Salmon Patties
Too much oil in your pan (Like two inches or more) will create greasy, flavorless salmon patties.
You want the bottom of your pan to be covered in oil and that’s it.
Don’t Flip a Salmon Patty Too Soon
Be patient and wait to flip each salmon patty.
Once the patty is good and golden brown and around the edges, gently try to flip the patty to the other side.
Squeeze Some Fresh Lemon or Lime Juice Before Serving for an Added Kick
Salmon seems to love an extra splash of lime or lemon in almost every dish!
Squeeze some on before serving for a fun twist!
Don’t Cook Salmon Patties Too Quickly
Even if you’re in a hurry, salmon patties are incredibly yummy and deserve to be cooked at the right pace and temperate…most of the time that’s medium heat.
Don’t turn your stove up to high heat.
If you do that, a salmon cries. :(
I’ve also included the recipe right here so you can look over it before you print it out.
Hope that helps!
