Do a coconut oil treatment the night before your big date! No time for straightening your hair? Try my secret to more sleeked straight hair for date nights. I gently rub coconut oil into my hair the night before, wrap it up in a bun, and sleep on a towel. The next morning I shampoo twice and add conditioner for a super sleek and smooth look. you can air dry your hair or blow-dry. Add additional minutes for blow drying.

Wash half your hair. No time to wash your hair? Wash only half your hair — in the sink. This tip may sound wacky, but it still works. Make sure you concentrate on your roots. This quick, half-shampoo will give you enough time to still blow-dry and get out the door! One minute on the shampoo and four on drying! (Only if you didn’t do the oil treatment mentioned above.)

Do the five minute, basic make-up routine. I’m constantly in a rush. Last minute dates are part of my life — and I love them! My husband often offers to take me out for a quick coffee date. I jump up and toss on some easy make-up. In just five-minutes I can look “put together.” I apply a tiny bit of concealer to my problem areas, pat on some face powder and blush, dab some lipstick and gloss on and lastly apply eyeliner and mascara. I do take about 20 seconds to curl my lashes before I apply mascara. I don’t worry about eye shadow, bronzers or highlighters. I save those for evenings when I have more time!

Keep the “extras” accessible. I keep my three favorite purses, two scarves, jewelry and sunglasses in easy-to-grab areas. My jewelry is all hanging up on my wall in separate sections. I separate them into dressy, less dressy and casual sections. Keeping my “extras’ in easy-to-grab areas saves me loads of time when I’m prepping for a date! Keep a few “date night” outfits paired together. Hang your shirt and fave skirt together so they’re ready to grab and throw on. Make sure there are no wrinkles days and weeks before you head out. Always keeping at least two outfits ready-to-go will be a huge time-saver for date nights!

Go for a braid or a side topsy-tail. When I’ve had a busy work day and date night plans have slipped my mind, I can easily freshen up my hair by doing fun new braid that I found on Pinterest weeks ago or simply make a side ponytail, but transform it into a topsy-tail to add a little bit more fun. I always pull out a few strands so my hair isn’t too sleek and boring!

Grab beautiful curls the quick way. Pull your hair up into a ponytail and quickly curl large strands of hair. Take out your pony-tail and enjoy your super-quick, feminine curls!
