Six months ago I delved into the spinach smoothie craze.
That’s when this easy banana berry spinach smoothie and me became besties.
And normally my food besties become my kids’ besties too.
Almost every single day you’ll hear my blender churning away.
It always has milk (almond for me), fruit and spinach in it.
I change up the blends from time to time to spice things up and find the oh-so-perfect combination.
The banana berry spinach smoothie wins hands-down for taste and wholesomeness — all in one gulp!
And guess what I found out a few months ago? I can even make these smoothies with just water! In pinch, I use water was my liquid because the banana naturally makes the shake creamy! This way saves money and calories!
My five-year-old son loves these spinach smoothies!
It’s kind of “our thing” now.
In fact, he gets offended if I make a spinach smoothie early in the morning and forget to save him some. (That’s totally cute and warms this mom’s heart!)
Now my daily routine includes placing an extra cup in the fridge so he gets his spinach smoothie in for the day! #ParentingWin ;0)
And I absolutely love to see him gulping down a shake that’s packed full of spinach, fruit and milk!

Easy Banana Berry Spinach Smoothie
- 1 large, ripe banana peeled
- 1/2 cup frozen berries
- 1 cup fresh baby spinach
- 2 1/2 cups cold milk
- 3/4 cup ice
- Place ice in blender.
- Add the banana and berries.
- Toss the spinach on top.
- Gently pour the milk over all the fruit and veggies.
- Blend on high until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
