They’re easy to grab, eat and perfect for tailgating!

Packed with ground beef, cheese, bacon, onions and peppers, these are a hungry teen boy’s favorite pick during a football game!

Ingredients Needed to Make Pizza Egg Rolls:


Pepperoni

Chop up sliced pepperoni so it’s thoroughly incorporated into every egg roll.

Bacon

8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled. Or you can totally use real bacon bits to save time and mess!

Yellow Onions

Make sure they’re diced. You can leave these out for kids!

One Green Pepper

I’d definitely consider leaving these out for little kids. Teens don’t mind these though!

Egg Rolls Wrappers (You can Buy Them Here)

You use wonton wrappers if egg roll wrappers are not available. Do NOT use rice paper that looks like egg roll wrappers!

Mozzarella Cheese

Loads and loads of mozzarella for ooey gooeyness!

Parmesan Cheese

For dusting and garnish

How To Make Pizza Egg Rolls:

Pizza Egg Roll Step 1: Saute onions and green pepper .

In two tablespoons of vegetable oil, cook until soft and translucent. Set aside.

Pizza Egg Roll Step 2: Cook Ground Beef.

Heat large skillet over medium heat; crumble beef into skillet and cook until no longer pink. Drain.

Pizza Egg Roll Step 3: Make Sauce Mixture.

Remove skillet from heat and stir in sautéed onions, peppers, cooked and crumbled bacon (Think bacon bits) pizza sauce and pepperoni.

Pizza Egg Roll Step 4: Assemble Egg Rolls.

Sprinkle 1/4 cup beef mixture over each egg roll wrapper; top with 2 tablespoons cheese.

Roll according to wrapper package directions, sealing edges with water.

Pizza Egg Roll Step 5: Fry.

Pour oil to 1/2-inch depth in large saucepan; heat to 350°F or until very hot, but not smoking.

Carefully add several egg rolls to hot oil (do not crowd pan).

Cook 1-1/2 minutes per side or until golden brown.

Pizza Egg Roll Step 6: Drain and Serve.

Transfer to paper towels to drain. Repeat with remaining egg rolls.

Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning Serve!

  • 1 1/2 pounds 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef, cooked and crumbled cooked, crumbled and drained
  • 1 (15 oz.) can or jar pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni chopped

  • 2 yellow onions diced
  • 1 green pepper diced
