These S’mores Are Made in the Oven!
Sweet and salty s’mores is probably the easiest and yummiest s’mores combination I’ve ever put into my mouth!
Don’t believe me?
Try them yourself!
Since I’m a busy mom with a house full of kids and teens, I like to make this quick snack when we build forts or decide to have an impromptu camping adventure at home!
No need to build a fire.

No need to grab hangers for a marshmallow roast.
All I need is an oven, crackers, marshmallows and chocolate.

And you can always add MORE chocolate (white chocolate, dark chocolate…any chocolate you like!)

Oooh!
And if you want to be crazy adventurous, add a half a teaspoon of peanut butter to the top of each piece of chocolate.
But only try that on crazy, crazy days…;0)

These are also fun to put together for a last minute party or family fun night!
We actually made this fun treat most recently to celebrate an impromptu “Kid’s Day.”

My hubby and I just wanted to show the kids a little extra attention and love.
The kids woke up to cookies and milk for breakfast, s’mores and a tent around mid-morning, take-out for lunch, hot cocoa and board games in the afternoon—and very few chores.
It felt great to give the kids a special day “just because.”

And if you’re ready to start celebrating the holidays, try these Christmas s’mores that only require an oven too!
I’m all about oven s’mores ya’ll…

Oven-Baked Sweet & Salty S’mores
These oven-baked sweet and salty s’mores are a fun, mess-free twist on the campfire classic. Made with buttery Ritz crackers, Hershey’s chocolate, and toasty marshmallows, this easy s’mores recipe is sweet, salty, and gooey, and comes together right in the oven for parties and snack-time treats.
- Prep Time 10 mins
- Cook Time 10 mins
- Total Time 20 mins
- Yield 20 s’mores 1x
- Category Snack
- Method Baking
- Cuisine American
Ingredients
- 40 Ritz crackers
- 3 Large Hershey Chocolate Bars
- 10 Large Marshmallows, cut in half
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- On an ungreased cookie sheet, place 20 of the Ritz crackers flat side up.
- Next, place one small rectangle of chocolate on top.
- Then, place a marshmallow half.
- Carefully top with another Ritz cracker.
- Repeat for all crackers.
- Bake for 10 minutes, or just until marshmallows are slightly melted.
- Remove from oven and let them cool slightly.
- Lastly, gently press down on the top cracker to level out the s’mores.
- Do not bake these goodies too long, as the crackers can become soft — eww! No one likes a soft Ritz cracker!

Woah!!! I could totally pound about 12 of those right now! Love me some sweet and salty goodness! This is an incredible pictures. Pinned for sure!!!
Thanks for pinning Jocelyn. Honored:)
Awesome little snack! Pinned!
Thanks for pinning!
Umm…yummy!! :) I cannot wait to make these! Sharing this! :) Thank you!
Are you only using 1/2 marshmallow per S’more? If so, and the recipe makes 20 S’mores, wouldn’t it only call for 10 marshmallows, cut in half?
Oh, well the extras are for you to give to your kids to hold them over while you bake the s’mores…:0) Just kidding! No, I will edit the recipe. I originally wanted to make more s’mores and did not change the amount of marshmallows—feeble-minded I guess. Thanks for pointing it out!
I have done the ritz cracker with a rolo smashed between. In that recipe you put down a layer of ritz and top with the rolo. When they come out you add the top ritz as you smash the soft rolo inbetween. Would probably work with this recipe to and that way you don’t have to worry about the top cracker sliding off. Can’t wait to try these!
Have to try the rolo idea! Thanks for sharing. :)
Do you have to eat them right away? I would like to make these for a party, but don’t want them to get soggy.
I would recommend eating them right away. I have never kept them for later. one time I did with another ritz recipe and they were soggy. It was for a party too.
This reminds me of being a kid and eating chocolate with saltine crackers. I must pin this for my next camping trip.
couldnt you just use marshmallow fluff and save the oven?
