Our family has some crazy-fun traditions…including our traditional Lazy Day Holiday!
We also have a family night every single Friday.
And we love our traditions..so we’re adding even MORE!
Traditions have helped our family grow into a close-knit family.
Our best friends live under the same roof with us..and one reason that’s our family’s reality is because of creating family traditions that are doable, non- stressful and completely loveable.

Wear new Christmas jammies.
Give each family member a new pair of Christmas jammies!
The sillier, the better!

Let Kids Have “Secret Buddies” with Their Siblings
Every year we let our kids draw names and they each get a “secret” buddy.
On Christmas day they give a gift to their sibling. It’s fun to see them trying to keep the surprise a secret!
Create a Christmas Eve selfie station.
Create a simple, but fun Christmas selfie background (You can totally just use your Christmas tree) or you create some simple Christmas backdrops!
Get ready for for BIG giggles!

My best friend shared her family traditions with me over a decade ago.
Her family reads the true story of Christmas in Luke 2.
Then they read Twas the night before Christmas…all as a family, huddled around the fireplace.

Super simple but fun! Camp out around the Christmas tree on Christmas eve.
Pull out the sleeping bags, play Christmas music and enjoy one fun snacks as you enjoy this special night!
But make sure no one cheats and peek in their Christmas stocking…ha!

Yes, we LOVED spending a day at Dollywood during their Christmas event.

Such a simple game that requires little prep.
We choose this game because all ages can play!

Watch the Nativity Story Movie.
I have never seen a movie that depicts the birth of Christ with such accuracy.
Be warned though, the beginning scenes are pretty violent and though they’re not graphic, they can be disturbing to children under the age of ten.
There are also two birth scenes, but again nothing graphic.
This is a movie pick best for kids ages 12 and up!
But it’s still an awesome Christmas Eve tradition to start!
Wear Silly Christmas Socks
If ugly Christmas sweaters are too expensive, try silly Christmas socks from your closest dollar store! See who can find the silliest and ugliest pair of all!
Plus, the socks will keep everyone’s feet warm!
